Well the survey process is going well with 599 backers already placing their orders. Turns out 1m Space Grey Lightning cables are the most popular by a long long way and more than double that of 2m Space Grey lightning cables which are in second place. So thank you to everyone that has placed an order on our website, it really is exciting to hear our email system going ping every few seconds as we are notified of a new order.

As previously mentioned we have already placed an order for some Lightning cables and are about to receive stocks of 1m Gold, 1m Space Grey and 2m Space Grey cables. There has been a slight hiccup with the magnetic base plate for the cable tidy and we have had to change the design as the quality of the original part was not good enough. What we now have is much simpler and will blend in better with different environments/surfaces. These new base plates are being manufactured now and should be ready in 7 to 10 days. These will then go off to our fulfilment centre for inclusion with your cable.
For all the other cable types and options that have not been ordered yet we will have to wait until the majority of backers have placed their orders and then we will know the exact number of cables we need to order. As of next Monday we will check who has not placed an order and start contacting them directly to encourage them to do so as soon as possible.
We have been talking to a number of fulfilment companies with the plan to send cables direct from Hong Kong or China. This saves a considerable amount of time and also allows us to get better and faster shipping options.
For backers in the EU we are first checking out the various import rates to make sure that you will not be charged import duty and VAT. For most of you this will be fine as your order will be below the threshold but for the rest we have to work out the best solution, be it we import the cables first into the UK before posting or if there is a way for us to clear them for you as they come into the EU. As a UK company we can only do this for backers that are in the EU. We wish we could, but we cannot do this for backers in other countries / regions.
